Buddhist Story: The Pain in Life.

There was a Zen master who had a disciple who loved to complain. One day, the Zen master put a handful of salt into a glass of water and asked his disciple to drink it. The disciple said, It's so salty and bitter.

The Zen master then sprinkled more salt into a lake and asked the disciple to taste the lake water.

After drinking, the disciple said, It's pure and sweet.

The Zen master said, The pain in life is like the salt, and whether it tastes salty or mild depends on the container that holds it. Do you want to be a glass of water or a lake?
