In an old village, youth Li Shan, once mischievous and cruel to animals, fell on hard times in middle age, ill and alone. In a temple, a monk taught him about karma: past deeds shape present suffering; repentance and good deeds can change future outcomes. Touched, Li Shan vowed to protect life. Later, he saved a drowning child, earning respect. His goodness spread, and he lived happily in family unity. This story promotes karma, urging kindness to all beings.
