Buddhist Story: The Blind-at-Heart Couple.

A good-looking couple in love suddenly went blind due to misfortune. They grew more attached and were inseparable for years.

Relatives invited a skilled doctor to cure their eyes. The husband, seeing his aged wife, anxiously asked, "Who replaced my wife?" The wife, seeing her changed husband, also shouted, "Who took my husband away?"

Relatives said, "Your looks have changed. It's silly to expect to look young again in old age. Why cry and not recognize each other?"

Words of Wisdom: Thinking looks don't change brings troubles. Couples shouldn't be heart-blind even if physically blind. Calmly facing life changes is the way to get along.
