With an anatomic view on my surroundings I observe and absorb the organically grown. I explore the tension between the natural and artificial world by dissecting both. I make visual connections between particles, which evolve into experimentally formed collections. Everything from the first inkling to the final touch is done in my own studio. Every piece is created with an essence of its own, ensuring a repeated uniqueness. Forming a poetic and knowledgeable sum of parts which awakens a world of wonder, a world where the delicate beauty of the naturally grown is equally as important as the greatness of being.
The “Nest Bowls” consist of five ceramic bowls that form a nest when placed together. Using the bowls’ elegance as a starting point, I constantly play with colors, details, heating processes, materials and more – an infinite process. Currently, there are three different series from which more and more series will evolve into both limited and standard editions. I constantly strive to create a collection with a certain elegance and delicacy.
