Buddhist Story: Sell agarwood.


One person, risking his life every day, dove into the sea and retrieved a cartload of agarwood.


He took it to the market to sell, but the price was too high, and no one could afford it.


At this moment, he saw a charcoal seller nearby who was doing a thriving business. One cart sold out, and another was filled.


He thought to himself, "I might as well burn this agarwood into charcoal; it would be easier to sell." As a result, the price of the entire cartload of agarwood was less than half the price of a cartload of charcoal.


When his friends learned about this, they lamented, "You lack patience and cannot wait for a good opportunity. You only care about immediate small profits, which is truly not worthwhile!"


Words of Wisdom: Isn't someone who only cares about immediate small profits and does not wait for opportunities someone who treats precious agarwood as charcoal? Will such a person achieve success?
