【WFB Lecture Hall】Buddhist Story: Let Go.

In the Tang Dynasty, Venerable Yanyang asked Zen Master Zhaozhou, "On the path of Zen meditation, I have discarded everything. What should I do next?"


Zen Master Zhaozhou replied, "Let go."


Venerable Yanyang said, "My hands are already empty, what more do you want me to let go of?"


Zen Master Zhaozhou instructed him, "If you cannot let it go, then pick it up!"


Upon hearing this, Venerable Yanyang suddenly gained a profound realization.
