In ancient India, a minister wanted the king's attention and favor. He asked others how to get it.

Someone told him to watch the king's expressions and imitate them.

He noticed the king liked blinking, so he practiced hard till it became a habit.

One day, when the king summoned him and saw his blinking eyes while he talked, the king asked why.

He thought it was his chance and said he blinked because he was imitating the king.

The king got angry and ordered his men to beat him up.
