Buddhist Story: The Half Pancake. A traveler, feeling hungry and thirsty, finally found a small shop after a long search and bought seven pancakes to eat. He devoured six and a half of them in one go, then felt bloated. Suddenly, he regretted his actions and hit himself hard on the cheek, saying, "I only became full because of the last half pancake. If I had known this earlier, I should have eaten just this half first. Wouldn't that have saved me the money for the six other pancakes? Oh! How utterly foolish I am!" Words of Wisdom: The fool imagines fullness in his belly from just half a pancake, akin to how people in the world pursue wealth and status, thinking that possessing money, clothes, and food equates to happiness, which is untrue!
