Buddhist Story: Hitting the Head with Pears. There was a bald and foolish man. One day, someone threw pears at his bald head, one after another, causing several swellings to appear. Instead of dodging, the foolish man burst into laughter. Seeing this, the people nearby asked him, "Why are you laughing?" The foolish man replied, "That person is really stupid. Pears are so expensive, yet he throws them away wildly, losing a lot of money without realizing it. That's why I'm laughing at him!" The others told him, "You're the fool! If you weren't stupid, why would you let someone break your head without dodging?" Words of Wisdom: What we perceive as benefit is often not truly beneficial. And of course, real losses are not so easy to perceive!
