Buddhist Story: The Foam Snow Mountain. There is a vast forest by the seaside, where five hundred monkeys live. Once, foam piled up on the sea, resembling a bright snow mountain, and reached the shore. The monkeys saw it and said, "Wow! Such a big snow mountain. We'll have fun playing on it." One monkey jumped on it but drowned in the sea. The other monkeys, seeing that it didn't come out, thought it was having so much fun in the snow mountain that it didn't want to leave. So, they all jumped into the foam that resembled snowflakes, and as a result, they all drowned. Words of Wisdom: The monkeys didn't carefully observe whether the "snow mountain" was dangerous before jumping into the foam. Aren't we the same, leaping into our imagined worlds without thinking? Pursuing fame and fortune in illusions, the consequences we encounter can be easily imagined.
