Buddhist Story: Two Pigeons. Once, a male and a female pigeon lived together. When fruits ripened, they filled their nest with them. A month later, the male pigeon found only half the fruits left and angrily accused the female, "You ate them! Now there are only half left!" The female replied, "I didn't! The fruits lost moisture and naturally decreased." The male didn't believe her and, in a fit of anger, pecked her to death. Days later, a heavy rain replenished the fruits' moisture, filling the nest again. The male pigeon regretted his actions but couldn't revive the female. Words of Wisdom: If one doesn't understand the truth, they may distort reality based on their emotions. Regretting actions only after harming others is useless and brings sorrow, like the unreasonable male pigeon.
