Buddhist Story: State of Mind. One day, Su Dongpo was chatting with the Zen Master Foyin.
As they talked happily, Su Dongpo asked Zen Master Foyin, "What do I look like at this moment?"
Zen Master Foyin said, "I see you as a Buddha."
Su Dongpo chuckled and replied, "I see you as a heap of cow dung."
Zen Master Foyin smiled and did not say anything more.
Believing he had won the exchange, Su Dongpo returned home feeling smug and told his sister about the incident.
His sister said, "Brother, you lost! The Zen master's mind is of the same realm as a Buddha, so he sees you as a Buddha. Your mindset, on the other hand, resembles a heap of cow dung, so naturally, you see the Zen master as one too."
Upon hearing this, Su Dongpo blushed deeply
