Buddhist Story: Waiting for the Lotus to Bloom. A venerable monk meticulously nurtured the lotus in the pond, pouring his heart and soul into it day and night, yet only saw the graceful fluttering of its green leaves, without a glimpse of the blooming flowers. The disciple, puzzled, asked, "Master, why does the lotus not unfold its smile?" The monk smiled, his gaze gentle as it rested on the lotus leaves. "The beauty of the lotus lies not merely in its form, but in the enlightenment of the heart. The path of cultivation is akin to this process of waiting for the flower to bloom, requiring a peaceful mind and patient waiting. When the time is ripe, you will naturally comprehend the ineffable splendor and tranquility of life." Upon hearing these words, the disciple's doubts vanished, as if a light had illuminated his heart, deepening his understanding of life and cultivation.
