Buddhist Story: The Analogy of Milk.
One monk said, "Someone once left the milk they had bought at a farmer's house, telling the farmer that they had some matters to attend to and would come back soon to collect it. But when the person returned, the milk had turned sour due to the long period of time that had passed. They then questioned the farmer, saying, 'I left the milk here. Why are you giving me vinegar now?' The farmer replied, 'This was indeed the milk you left. It has naturally fermented into vinegar on its own.' The two of them started arguing and asked the king to decide the dispute."
The monk asked, "How should the king handle this?"
The king said, "It is the fault of the person who bought the milk. Leaving it for such a long time, of course, it would turn into vinegar. The farmer is not at fault!"
Words of Wisdom: How many times in our lives do we unwittingly blame others for our own oversights?
