Buddhist Story: Stone and Gold. Daming had polio as a child. One leg was underdeveloped, making walking hard. At school, he was often bullied and nicknamed "Li Tieguai". He felt wronged and often cried alone in his room. One day, after being upset by classmates, he locked himself in and wouldn't eat. His father said, "Success depends on will, not legs. A strong will overcomes any setback." The father added, "Will gold turn to stone if others say so? If you're determined to be gold, it doesn't matter what others call you." Words of Wisdom: Our value is self-made and doesn't change with others' words. We need such confidence.
